LabAnalysis acquires the majority of Ibacon, a leader in agroscience contract services

LabAnalysis, a leading provider of analytical services in Europe for Pharma, Agro and Environment, is pleased to announce the acquisition of Ibacon GmbH, a renowned CRO specialized in ecotoxicological and chemical studies under Good Laboratory Practice (GLP). This strategic acquisition positions LabAnalysis to enhance its service offerings, expand its market reach and deliver unparalleled expertise for registration of agrochemical, biocidal, pharmaceutical and REACH products. Sabrina Westphal and Dr. Melanie Lichtenberger will continue to manage Ibacon as CEOs and key executive of LabAnalysis Group in Germany, ensuring high business excellence and steadiness.

Founded in 1994 and headquartered in Roßdorf, Germany, Ibacon has established a stellar reputation for its rigorous adherence to GLP standards and its comprehensive range of services in the product registration market. Minerva Corporate Finance, led by Giovanni Vitiello and Salvatore Salzano, acted in the acquisition process as sole financial advisor of LabAnalysis.
GDC Corporate & Tax, with the team led by Davide Cagnoni, supported the Maggi family in the definition of the structure of the deal acting also as tax advisor in the whole process.
DLA Piper has acted as legal advisor to LabAnalysis with a team consisting of Daniel Ladeur, Matteo Licini, Thomas Gericke, Florian Hader and Matteo Fontana.
The shareholders of Ibacon have been assisted as legal and tax advisor by the German law firm MOOG.
